What are the costs associated with my fundraiser?
- Starting and maintaining a fundraiser on Changisha.co.ke is and will always be FREE
- A platform fee of 4.1% of all donations collected apply. This is automatically deducted so you never have to worry about paying a bill, ever! The platform fees help us keep the service free for your donors and help us improve the service.
- Credit/Debit Card donations attract a further 3% processing fees by the gateway provider
- If you choose mobile money when withdrawing donations received, standard mobile transfer rates (M-Pesa & Airtel Money) apply.
- If you choose bank transfer when withdrawing the donations received, standard bank wire rates apply.
Example:
If you raise KES 50,000 using mobile money and withdraw to Mobile money wallet, the total you will receive is KES 47,845 after the 4.1% Platform fee (KES 2,050) and Mobile money transfer fee (KES 105).
How can I withdraw my money?
Once you have raised at least KES 100 from your fundraiser, you can withdraw your funds anytime.
Funds can be withdrawn multiple times throughout your fundraiser. Simply click ‘Withdraw’ while logged into your account and follow the instructions.
You can withdraw your balance directly to your Mobile Wallet or via EFT Bank Transfer. Withdrawals by Mobile Money take between 20 minutes to 3 hours for processing from Monday to Saturday from 9AM to 8PM, EFT Bank Transfers may take more time depending on the Bank.

* Your fundraiser expiry date does not affect withdrawal.
* Withdrawing funds does not affect the progress meter displayed on your fundraiser page.
Unsubscribe or Update email Notification Settings
We hates inbox clutter as much as you do. You can easily choose when you get an email from us by visiting Unsubscribe after logging into your account. You can also manage your email settings, or unsubscribe, from the links at the bottom of the latest received email.
How to Report Content
To report a fundraiser, you must first be logged into your account. Once you have logged in, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Scroll to the bottom of the fundraiser page and click on “Report a policy violation” button located below the comments section.
- This button opens a menu where you will select a category for your report.
- Before you can make a submission, you must include a reason for your report. The more specific you can be with your reason for reporting content, the more equipped the Help Center team will be when assessing your claim.

I forgot my password. What do I do?
Forgot your password? No worries! It happens to the best of us. Simply follow the instructions below and we’ll have you logged back in promptly.
1. Click Login from the top right corner of changisha.co.ke.
2. Click on “Forgot your password?”
3. Type in your email address, click the ‘Reset Password’ button and you should receive further instructions via email shortly. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.

How do I reactivate my account?
If you’ve deactivated your account and would like to reopen it, simply access the website and create another fundraiser using the email address associated with your account.
If you’ve received a message that you need to contact us when attempting to log in or you’re having any other problems with reopening your account, please click on the “Contact Support” option at the top of this page and send a request for further assistance.
How to edit your fundraiser
In this article, we’ll discuss how to locate and make edits to your petition.
To locate any petitions you created, follow the guide below:
- Login to your account
- Click on “User Dashboard” located at the top-right side of the page just under your profile image
- Select “My Fundraisers” from the drop-down menu
- Click on the title of the fundraiser you’d like to edit
- Make changes to your fundraiser and click “Save”. Your fundraiser will be sent for moderation again and published thereafter.
How to edit account and profile information

- Log into your account
- Click on your profile image, located at the upper- right side corner of the page
- There you will see the “Edit profile” where you will be able to edit your information

How do I close my account?
While we will miss your presence, we make closing your account easy.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Log in to your account
- Click on your name or profile picture at the top-right corner of the screen
- Select the “Edit Profile” option from the drop-down menu
- Click on “Delete Account”
- Confirm that you would like to close your account.
What are Promoted Fundraisers?
Promoted Fundraisers are advertisements, allowing you to have your favorite fundraisers discovered by thousands of potential supporters. Similar to boosted posts on Facebook or sponsored tweets on Twitter, promoted fundraisers let you pay to show any fundraiser (including your own) to other potential supporters on changisha.co.ke or our distribution channels.
How do I Promote a fundraiser?
By chipping in to promote a fundraiser, a supporter can help a fundraising campaign be seen by far more people, and get more support. Promotions are available for most fundraisers on changisha.co.ke and anyone can chip in, from the fundraiser starter to signers.

How do Promoted fundraisers work?
You already have the ability to share petitions via social networks and email. Promoted fundraisers advertising gives you another way to ensure a fundraiser is seen by people outside your network. Our primary target, changisha.co.ke users, also happen to be the largest group of active changemakers on the Internet. Check out our campaigning guide for others ways to support fundraisers that you care about!
How do Promotions help fundraisers?
When someone chips in to promote a fundraiser, it helps us share it with wide audiences of action-takers in the changisha.co.ke community. Each contribution helps cover the costs of distributing the fundraiser to hundreds, thousands, even millions more people in the Easy Changa community, many of whom go on to donate to the fundraiser.
Are promotions like fundraisers?
No. Promotions are not a fundraiser for the campaign starters. Our Promoted Fundraisers tool is not a typical online fundraising tool. We know that fundraising for an issue is incredibly important and we’re glad there are tools out there that can help.
Promoting a fundraiser on Easy Changa fills a different critical need for campaigns to be successful: it specifically helps the fundraiser be seen by far more people than would otherwise see it through standard social media shares.
